"It's just... so t-terrible." Sniffle. "I always looked up to her, you know-- the way she raised her children. E-Everyday I saw her and tia or her and Charlotte, I always thought that maybe I could be like that with Nina! B-Back when she was alive. I thought to myself that I could be as close as she is with her children to N-Nina. She had the bond with her children I w-would've killed for. And yet, she left Charlotte and Bill a-all alone!" She blows into a tissue. "She left me all alone!"
"Harmony this time...? I really thought that she wanted to stay with her kids no matter what, even if it was just Charlotte..." He sighs. "So it was Tia tying her here after all... probably doesn't help Charlotte always feeling like the second choice."
"...I'm really never gonna get her back, am I?" His fist clenches. "Is this some kind of sick fucking justice by the universe? To take my daughter and wife...?" When pressed what he meant about sick justice, he shook his head, refusing further questioning.
"U-Um... I was never that close to her, honestly..." Her eyes glue to the floor, clearly uncomfortable with the subject matter. "But... Charlotte won't t-talk to me or Jay anymore. We're trying our hardest to lure her into coming outside with arcade games. She would do the same for me one hundred times over..."
